PLANT ACTIVITIES



The corporate unit "Doprastav - technický s skúšobný servis" (TESS) (Technical and testing services) was established on 1.1.2006 for the purpose of providing for the performances in the field of testing for the company Doprastav, a.s. and the external clients.

The TESS unit carries out its activities as a laboratory accredited by the authority Slovenská národná akreditačná služba - SNAS (the Slovak National Accreditation Services) with the number of the certificate on the accreditation N° S-094. The Ministry of the Construction and Regional Development of the SR has authorized and notified the Doprastav TESS as an Authorized person with the number of the certificate on authorization N° SK58 in the scope of competence specified in the attachment to the certificate on the authorization and a Notified person with the number of the certificate on notification N°1483.

These laboratories are capable and qualified to perform physical and mechanical tests of soils, bonded mixtures, stones and aggregate, steel, cements, concretes, grouts and mortars, concrete structures, asphalts (bitumen), asphaltic (bituminous) mixtures, precast concrete members/segments, pavements of roads and bridges.

Activities carried out by the Laboratories:

  • carrying out and evaluation of initial tests of type and control tests of materials, semi-products, products, construction materials and substances used in the construction industry;
  • carrying out the activities of accredited testing laboratory in the scope of the applicable Directive of the Director General N° 4/2004 "Inspection and testing", i.e. carrying out the receiving, inter-operation and final inspections of products and structures;
  • provision of constructional testing on all projects being executed by the company Doprastav including asphalt-mixing plants, concrete-mixing plants and quarries;
  • provision of initial tests of the type for bituminous mixtures, all types of concretes, cement stabilizations and soils;
  • provision of special tests as well, which do not fall under the scope of usual activities of the TESS  for structures (with the exception of test loading of bridges);
  • cooperation in the course of preparation of new technologies and construction methods, performance of technological and advisory/consulting service for structures and in cases of complaint procedures.

Ordering of testing performance can be made in writing, by means of fax, or over the phone. For the performed works Doprastav TESS invoices the actually carried out works /tests/ according to the valid price list of performance of construction testing and laboratory works.
