





The flyover already opened to traffic
The company Doprastav has added another significant success to its list of successfully executed projects. As the leading member of the Consortium “Sverepec – Vrtižer” Doprastav has significantly contributed to the construction of the Section I, of the D1 motorway Sverepec – Vrtižer, which, together with the Section II, was ceremonially opened to traffic in the presence of Mr. Robert Fico, the Prime Minister, and other valued guests, on Sunday, May 30. In reality this missing section of the motorway linking of Bratislava and Žilina was opened to traffic on Monday early morning.
On this ceremony the company Doprastav was represented by the members of the Board of Directors, Messrs. Ivan Šesták, Dušan Mráz, Viliam Turanský and Daniel Knotek, the directors of the DG departments, the directors of the Divisions (branch offices and plants), as well as many other employees. Before the official program of opening the new flyover to traffic, Mr. Robert Fico, the Prime Minister of the SR, has handed over a gift to ten employees for the Consortium “Sverepec – Vrtižer” and also for the Consortium “Manín”, which has constructed the Section II of the motorway. The Doprastav’s representatives that took over the award on behalf of the company were Messrs. Rudolf Mičian and Ľubomír Staník from the Žilina Division, Messrs. Jozef Kabil and Štefan Karkes from the Mlynské nivy Division, Mr. Jozef Bystriansky from the Petržalka Division and Mr. Jozef Frolo sr. from the Predpínacie technológie (Prestressing Technologies) Division. The ceremonial putting of flyover in service on Sunday evening was preceded by opening the motorway section to public on Saturday, May 29.
