On November 18 the first professional training centre for motorists, situated within the area of the SLOVAKIA RING – Orechová Potôň motor racing ring was put in service. It will be used for its activities by the DRIVING ACADEMY Centre for safe driving. The training centre as well as the racing ring itself, situated only 36 kilometres from Bratislava, were constructed by the company Doprastav.

The training centre is assigned for training of drivers so that they would have safely under control the motor vehicles in critical situations on different carriageway surfaces and under simulated meteorological conditions. It concerns asphaltic surfaces with different gradients of turns and different radii of curvatures.

The DRIVING ACADEMY centre for safe driving is technically one of the most advanced and up-to-date training facilities in Europe. One of the main technical elements is the largest detachment platform produced in the world. It can simulate the skid from a small vehicle up to a large articulated vehicle formed by towing vehicle and trailer with 40 tons load. The circular area with the diameter of 80 metres belongs to the largest. Each modulus has a separate ring, which means there can be 4 parallel groups training at the same time. By using the artificial lighting it is possible to operate the facility even in the night. A hotel with superior schooling and training premises equipped with the most advanced equipment is also part of the premises.
