In days 26.-29.7. Mr. Dušan Mráz, Grad. Eng., the Doprastav’s President, visited the Doprastav’s Baku Branch in order to check the progress of works and to discuss the conditions with our subcontractor, the company AzerinShaatServise, with regard to the project of reconstruction of the R6 expressway “Tagiyev Sahil”. It concerns the reconstruction of 41.4 km long section, which shall serve as an outer bypass of the capital Baku. The 24 month construction period for this project began to run in April, when the Contracting Authority had paid the advance payment for the works execution. The engineering supervision is performed by the German company Kocks Consult GmbH. At present the works are being carried out in km 22.0-24.0; the earthworks, the bridge demolition and the geological survey are being executed, and the negotiations with the new subcontractor for utility lines diversion are taking place.

During the four day visit Mr. Dušan Mráz, Grad. Eng., the Doprastav’s President took part in a number of negotiations with Azerbaijan and Turkish companies being considered to become a possible partners for tenders for the construction of the Section 1 (with the length of 23.4 km) and the Section 2 (with the length of 24.8 km) of the “Alat – Astara” motorway. Both tender proposals have been submitted.
