Railway link “Žilina - Krásno nad Kysucou” was upgraded in three years

With savings of EUR 5.8 million compared to the contract price the consortium “Združenie Žilina – Krásno” has completed an upgrading of 18.9 kilometre (km) long section of railway line between Žilina and Krásno nad Kysucou that lasted three years.

The National Motorway Company JSC and the consortium of companies Doprastav JSC and Strabag Ltd. have signed the contract on the construction of the “Fričovce – Svinia” section of the D1 motorway.

The foundation stone of the new cycle-bridge which will connect the Bratislava’s borough Devínska Nová Ves and the Austrian municipality of Schlosshof was symbolically tapped today on the Slovakian side by a number of representatives of the Slovakian and the Austrian municipal self-governments as well as the executive.

When by the end of 2008 also Slovakia was hit by the economic crisis, its negative effects had shown very markedly exactly in the construction industry sector. The construction of many projects was suspended, which reflected also in the decrease of sales of construction products.

The road connecting the Slovak municipality of Horné Srnie and the Czech municipality of Brumov-Bylnice will be constructed by Doprastav, a.s., with the seat in Bratislava, at the cost of EUR 1,209,778.46 excluding the value added tax (VAT).
The cycle track in Petržalka can be completed in the middle of September

The cycle track will run from the “Petržalka” railway station by the “Kopčianska” street, underneath the “Pajštúnska” street and the motorway bypass up to the state border with Austria, where it will connect to the network of the existing cycle tracks.
