The company Doprastav was awarded the ASB Construction Company of the Year prize by the decision of a professional jury formed by the specialists, as well as by means of the public voting at the internet. The awards were taken over by Doprastav’s Director General Mr. Dušan Šamudovský, Eng., CSs on April 21, during the ceremonial announcement of results of the prestigious ASB GALA Evening event.    

The ASB GALA Evening is a prestigious event the objective of which is to award the leading personalities and companies carrying out the activities in the field of architecture and construction industry, and its mission is to bring at the same time the attention to what is actually going on in the civil engineering field. It was already the fourth time that the results of the specialised jury voting in the categories: ASB Personality from Architecture and Building, ASB Developer of the Year and the ASB Construction Company of the Year have been announced. The results of public voting that took place at the vocational portal www.asb.sk, were announced during the gala evening as well.
The nominated personalities, construction companies and developers were selected by the nomination committee, which was formed by the members of the editorial board of the monthly ASB periodical and by the top representatives of the Association of Construction Entrepreneurs of Slovakia, the Slovak Chamber of Civil Engineers and the academic pedagogues of the Civil Engineering Faculty of the Slovak University of Technology (STU) Bratislava. Two members of the nomination committee were nominated by the enunciators – the JAGA publishing house and the TREND weekly periodical.
The winners of the main prizes were then decided by the jury formed by specialists, which consisted of the leading personalities from the field of the Slovakian civil engineering, construction industry, architecture, the representatives of the state administration bodies, of the municipal administrations, the representatives of trade associations and chambers.
